How I grew my passion into a business
I am a window treatment coach who expertly trains interior designers, decorators, and design-savvy homeowners to choose the most suitable and loveliest window treatments for their projects. I share everything I have learned from my mistakes so you can create a profitable business of your own.
I have my degree in Fashion Merchandising.
My first "real" job was working in Harvard Square for Laura Ashley. This is where I fell in love with textiles and saw how fabric could transform a room.
My first project was making a balloon fabric shade for my bedroom, and it was a success both functionally and aesthetically!
As a newlywed, I would sew decorative pillows with lovely trim and custom shower curtains for our apartments because the store-bought ones were just not very cute. Once we bought our own home, I became intent on sewing all the window treatments. Friends and family who visited our home were always envious and wanted me to sew for them too.
My eye for fabric and sewing skills led to a business designing and fabricating window treatment that I was fortunate to own and operate for 15 years.
In 2015, I went back to the corporate world as a Sales Trainer for a national window treatment brand, teaching designers how to design and sell window treatments. Now I have the opportunity to take all I have learned about fabric, sewing, measuring, and window function to guide you.
